Experience world class Atlantic Salmon and Brook Trout fly fishing in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, home to 66% of North America’s Atlantic Salmon Rivers. The fishing trip of a lifetime awaits you at Arluk Outfitters, located on the site of Lee Wulff’s former tilt. Our Main River Lodge offers spectacular dry and wet fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon and Brook Trout. Because of our remote location, Arluk lodges are accessible only by helicopter, thus assuring that our guests will be the only anglers on the river. During your stay with us, you can fish many different pools, all of which hold salmon. There are several prime pools adjacent to the lodge with others that can be reached after a short boat ride. We book a maximum of 6 anglers at a time with a 2:1 angler-guide ratio. Main River is designated catch-and-release for Atlantic Salmon.

A typical day of fishing starts with a hearty breakfast prepared by our professional cook. Shortly after breakfast, anglers and guides head out for the river. Depending on the pools you decide to fish that day, the excursion may be just a few steps to a pool by the lodge or may involve a short boat ride. Following a morning fishing, you can enjoy a relaxing shore lunch or return to the lodge for a sit-down meal. After an afternoon and early evening of fishing, you can look forward to a full course dinner at the lodge. If you are so inclined, you can finish your day having a few last casts in the river next to the lodge as you enjoy a spectacular sunset.

Our fishing season begins on the first week of July and finishes at the end of July. We offer 3 day and 4 day options. With each option, you fly into the lodge in the early afternoon of Day 1 and enjoy late afternoon and evening fishing. On the final day, you fish in the morning and fly back out after lunch.
