Arluk Outfitters is a Newfoundland hunting and angling outfitter operating in a remote fly in only area on the island’s west coast. We are approximately four miles (six and a half kilometers) from the boundary of Gros Morne National Park with six sites located along branches of the heritage Main River.
We focus on the hunting of trophy moose and fishing of Atlantic salmon and brook trout. Black bear is incidental with moose hunts.
With experienced and knowledgeable guides on staff, we have an overall success rate of 90% on moose hunts. Our success comes from very low hunting pressure around our sites which border the no hunt zone of Gros Morne National Park.
Newfoundland boasts over 60% of the Atlantic salmon rivers in North America. The tributaries of the Main River are teeming with Atlantic salmon and brook trout. Atlantic salmon is catch and release only to ensure a plentiful and consistent supply of salmon returning to the river each year. Legendary American sportsman Lee Wulff’s former tilt is the site of Main River Lodge. The diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes Wulff enjoyed are exclusive to our guests. You're guaranteed to be the only ones on the river due to our remote location - accessible only by helicopter.
